About me
I am licensed in Florida with 10 years of professional work experience, but I've been in the mental health world for over 20. Nearly 10 years of my career was spent working with teens in residential programs. I spent almost 7 years working with teenage girls then another 3 with boys in a juvenile detention center.
Every therapist is going to tell you they provide a safe and confidential place to share what is on your mind. That is something that should come standard with therapy like brakes on a car. You want to know if I can actually help you with your problems, and if we are going to "click." Many people give up on therapy, because they try once with a therapist they didn't click with. They didn't feel comfortable, or the personalities simply clash. I can't promise that I'm the therapist that can help you solve the issues you are bringing to therapy. I also can't promise that our personalities will not clash. Here is what I will promise. I'm going to be real with you. I'm not going to blabber a bunch of psycho babble that isn't practical to you. I also have a tendency to be blunt if I feel that is what is needed.
Working with couples is my favorite, but at least half of my clients are individuals dealing with a wide range of general mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, and social skills. I also love working with clients dealing with grief and loss.

Casey was upfront about his views regarding our marital situations. However, he did not force us to change to confirm to his view. And he did not judge our situation. He helped us walk through why and how we got to where we are, and encouraged open dialogue between me and my husband. Highly recommend.
