About me
Hello! Erwin McIntosh III here, but please call me "Mac." I have been in the helping profession for ten years now. I started out as a qualified mental health specialist and after getting my Master's Degree in Counseling Education, I obtained my License in Professional Counseling in the state of Ohio in 2015. In January of 2021, I became a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio which means that I became an independent counselor.
I have worked with couples and families through the work I have done with youth and through work I have done with adults in residential homes. My hope is to help each individual identify their struggle in their relationship, identify the origins of that struggle and promote healing.
Through healing, an individual can improve their self-view, and take pressure off of their partner to be more than they are meant to be which often leaves both individuals feeling insecure about themselves and their relationship. Once an individual has healed from a painful past, then they can have hope for the future, develop a positive self-view, become secure in themselves and enjoy the relationship without developing expectations that can't be met. This is the new groundwork for a positive relationship.
Once healing has been obtained, both partners can then develop positive communication patterns, boundaries, understanding, and the ability to trust one another, not because one believes the other won't make a poor choice, but because each individual knows that they will be ok no matter what happens. This level of confidence in the individual and each other leads to a great relationship and reconciliation.
It takes courage to work on improving a relationship. If you are willing to do the work, I would love the opportunity to help you unlock the best versions of yourselves that you can then share with each other in a happy healthy relationship. It won't be easy, but I look forward to working with you.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Erwin McIntosh. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Best therapist ever
This is the first time in my long therapy journey that I’ve physically felt like my therapist cares about me and cares about helping me sort through my emotions and trauma. Mac is the man!
I would not recommend this therapist to couples looking to promote equality within the relationship. If you subscribe to the pre-modern purity mode of thought he may be a good match.
