About me

Grief is an all-encompassing emotion that can hold incredible power over us. While part of everyday life, grief is often unpredictable and can look different each time. Most importantly, people experience and process grief in their own highly individualized way. No two people will experience grief in the same manner. There are many factors that influence the way an individual expresses and experiences grief. You support system, coping mechanisms, your personality and your past experience with loss are just a few things that affect how grief feels to you. Keep in mind that there are no rules for grief, no set timelines or any type of laid out process. Your experience and your feelings are your own. Taking care of yourself by talking about your feelings, getting enough sleep and eating well is paramount to your ultimate recovery.
As an experienced counselor I have seen grief in many different forms, and I have seen the many different ways people work through their grief. I can use my experience to help you walk through this time, express your feelings, communicate your needs and work towards accepting your loss and finding a level of peace as your life moves along.
