About me

Hello, my name is Mary Archibald and I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). I am a faith-based clinician and I believe in holistic healing including body, soul, and spirit. I am licensed in the State of Florida. I have been working in the mental health field for more than 13 years. I am a Navy Veteran and I work with military couples, families, and individuals who experience transitioning issues. I also work with Veterans who may be having difficulties as severe as PTSD. I believe in developing treatment goals specific to each individual's uniqueness. My treatment approaches include CBT, EMDR, and TFCBT, and Solution-focused therapy. What that means is that I believe that each person, who seeks therapy, is unique and special, so must work with a therapist who can work in unique ways to address the individual person. In addition to this, I am very creative in my approach to therapy and often use homework assignments as interventions to help my clients. I have extensive experience in working with such as issues as depression, anxiety, time-management skills, anger management, trauma, grief, and family issues. I truly believe that everyone has the capacity to heal, grow, overcome life's challenges, and create the life that they want. I approach therapy with empathy and compassion and seek to create a space that is non-judgmental, accepting, collaborative, honest, and open.
