About me
Hello! My name is Pam Goucher. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both Arkansas and Tennessee with over 30 years of experience working as a clinical therapist. I have experience in behavioral health and medical social work, so I have an understanding of the impact medical issues can have on someone's life. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar, trauma, parenting and relationship issues. I have also worked with individuals who have experienced alcoholism/addictions. I am familiar with the 12-steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. I am most comfortable with a Christian approach, but I am accepting of and have worked with various religious beliefs and lifestyles including LGBTQ. I come from a military background as my father was a Vietnam vet and my son has completed 5 tours of duty in Iraq/Afghanistan. I am also a grandparent raising a grandchild. So as you can see, I am a fairly experienced, well-rounded person. I understand that sometimes life just happens and we need help making sense of it all!
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I am open minded and accepting of others. I will not judge you or present as biased. My therapy style is eclectic, as I use whatever your unique and specific needs call for. I do tend to lean more towards cognitive-behavioral therapy though as I believe every situation provokes a thought--a thought a feeling-- which in turn produces an attitude or behavior. Men and woman are different, but different doesn't have to be frustrating and anger provoking. There is information about those differences that can improve communication and help each of you feel heard and understood. That's what you really want, isn't it?? To know the person you love gets you...really hears your heart! Most of us go into committed relationships with little or no training/instruction so when challenges present themselves (and they will in all relationships) we resort to the coping skills we've always used...but they don't work anymore. Let me help you learn what you don't know and start resolving those issues that are destroying what you want.
I look forward to working with you!

I absolutely love Pam she's the best there ever was!!!!
Pam has been an excellent therapist for my husband and I over the span of almost a year now. We both feel heard and understood by her. She has been attentive to our needs and wants. We couldn't have been happier to have come across her. She has been perfect for our relationship and our family.
Ms. Pam is amazing. Always helpful, thoughtful, and listens.
Pam is very sweet, a great listener, and always makes both parties feel heard!
Pamela has helped open my eyes to a path of healing I never thought possible. She is incredibly kind and supportive, and a blessing to those who have a chance to meet with her.
I’ve already recommended her to two people
Pam does a great job. She listens and offers great techniques to deal with the stress of a everything. She has been a great help during this time of uneasy feelings and anxiety from all that is going on in this world.
