About me
Welcome! Thank you for taking a minute to explore a bit about who I am. My name is Paul Deutsch and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for the past 15 years. I recently received my Doctorate of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision from Viterbo University. I have been working in a community based rural setting for my career. I have been a member of clinical teams and have been working in a solo practice for the past 4 years. I have a broad base of clinical skills with an emphasis on complex challenges like personality disorders (and related concerns like self-harm), depression, anxiety and panic, LGBTQ stressors, family dynamics and the various forms of marital conflict.
I have spent large amounts of my career working with families in distress. Let's be honest couples rarely go to counseling before the relationship is on fire. Therapy is often the last resort. With that in mind my extensive understanding of marital dynamics, marital law and the courts has created working dynamics for my clients. I have certifications in Marital Conflict Resolution, Divorce Mediation, Domestic Violence and Family Dynamics Theory. Marriage is work and often couples know this to be true but don't know where to start to develop a common language. My skills are well positioned to support the development of loving and supportive dialogues.
I spend my time off from counseling as a Personal Trainer and Strength and Conditioning coach and have extensive training in nutrition and physical wellbeing. I also love to ski and ride fat tire bike. An additional skill set is within Business Coaching and have helped many clients improve their work lives, keep jobs or change to better ones while supporting an improved sense of self. I look forward to having the opportunity to find ways that I can support your journey. The road is hard and living a life brings suffering but these days we don't have to do that alone.
Be Well, Paul

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Paul Deutsch. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
10/10 5 Stars Dr. Deutsch is great.
He is a great therapist and makes me think about different ways and topics in one huge problem. he listens and communicates very well. over all would recommend having him as a therapist
I really like how he asks pertinent leading questions when there is a silence and he keeps the session moving. He is not afraid to say the things that might offend, but should be pointed out, and he does so with tact and professionalism.
I am so pleased that we were paired with Dr D, he has been very skilled in his listening through the noise & is extremely good at identifying the causes of breakdown in communication & gives lots of different ideas on how to do things better... I have no plans to stop therapy with Dr D... even when we are on a more even keel
We are so thankful for the help that Dr. Deutsch was able to give our relationship. He is straightforward and honest about his thoughts, and gives you a lot to reflect on and think about. Therapy is never easy to do, but I am so glad that we reached out.
Dr. Deutsch has been a great fit for me. He offers insights that hasn’t occurred to me before. I embraces his ideas because my prior thinking was not bringing my life the results I wanted. Dr Deutsch has given me hope and has helped me to regain some confidence. I recommend him wholeheartedly.
Paul is the "MAN" THAT IS ALL✌
Paul has help Betsy and I be able to understand each other. Betsy and I are making great progress in our relationship. Thank you Paul.
Paul is a great listener and helps us process things in a manner that all voices are heard and respected.
We started couples counselling about 3 months ago. My boyfriend was sceptical to begin with but after our first session with Paul he could see the value of sessions and began to look forward to them.
Paul has given us the tools to enjoy our relationship, appreciate each other and argue better!! If it wasn’t for Paul we would be in a very different place and possibly not even together.
I can’t thank him enough for putting us on the right path. We have learnt stuff about ourselves and each other which has breathed new life into our relationship. We talk more, we laugh more and love our time together.
He is down to earth and completely non judgemental. He is so easy to talk to and his clarity in advice and explanations is very welcome.
We both have complete trust in Paul and would highly recommend him to anyone.
Thank you Paul!!!
Paul is wonderful. My spouse and I both feel respected and listened to. Paul's suggestions are well thought out and insightful.
Paul has been wonderful and in just three weeks, his support has been a significant part of our lives. We’ve been coming out of each session really refreshed and empowered with great insights, confidence and comfort. Even after the first session, we immediately felt and knew that he was the right professional for us. During this time of global turmoil, we are really grateful to have this in our lives. Thank you Regain and Paul Deutsch!
Paul has been very easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable and confident with his expertise. Thanks Paul!
He’s a great straight forward counselor that listens carefully and responds thoughtfully.
