About me
Hello, this is Scott Anstadt, Ph.D, LCSW. I have been working with couples and family counseling for over 30 years. My approach is straightforward and direct. Couples meet together for sessions. We begin by getting to know each other in ways we may never have considered. We cover our family histories and patterns of couple's realtions over several generations. This helps us to see how we integrate our personalities and where there may be some current barriers and rough spots. After that, we look at a bit of our childhoods, to see what issues we may have brought to our current relationship. We go into practical assessment and skill building of communication, empathy, and compassion for each other as we look at how we truly can be a couple to nurture and love each other in mutual regard. Out framework uses an eclectic approach which takes the expertise of many theoretical practices including: Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Person Centered, and Existential. We develop meaningful goals with weekly activities that help fortify our understanding of each other. We can discover our relationship anew.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Scott Anstadt. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Dr. Anstadt is professional, caring, direct. He takes time to understand the root issues in our relationship and always makes us both feel heard and supported. My wife and I both feel very comfortable with Dr. A even though there are really hard and difficult topics and discussions we have to address, Dr. A is always respectful of each of us. He provides feedback and has us practice healthy communication strategies, he is very encouraging. I truly feel very lucky to have his expertise and assistance to help strengthen our relationship,
He is amazing
Dr. Anstadt helped us greatly with communication and overcoming infidelity. We are grateful for the tools he has given us to be open and honest with each other, as well as seeing each other's perspectives.
An extremely patient and positive therapist.
I feel like he is a good therapist. He doesn't try to apply "just the books say" and gave me the feeling of I am working with an actual human therapist, not a CBT bot.
He's great! Best counselor we had ever
Very helpful, honest, genuine and caring. Well worth every minute.
Dr. Anstadt is amazing. I appreciate him always reaching out to make sure things are going smoothly in between our sessions. He follows up and genuinely cares about my situation. I would recommend Dr. Anstadt to anyone who is seeking insight on coparenting and new relationships after divorce. Thank you for everything!
