About me
Hi! I am Dr. Vincenza L. Fabber a psychologist with over thirty years’ experience in the behavioral / mental health field. Previously, Dr. I was the Director of the Shore Memorial Hospital Children’s Center and Assistant Director of the Montessori Early Childhood School in Virginia. In Pennsylvania, I was a consulting Behavioral Specialist at Scranton State School for the Deaf and served in a leadership role with Mentor.
In 2002, I accepted a clinical position within the state prison system and eventually became the Statewide Director of Behavioral Health Services for the Department of Correction. Post DOC retirement, I continued to provide behavioral health services - working with SOAR (Survivors of Abuse in Recovery) and in private practice. Additionally, I provide oversight of treatment services for the Joseph Patrick Fabber Memorial Foundation.
My degrees and certifications include:
Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Certified Clinical Correctional Health Care Provider, Certified Hypnotherapist, Registered Play Therapist, Filial Therapist, EAGALA Equine Assisted Therapy certified, Licensed Mental Health Professional, Certified CPR Trainer, Certified Trauma Informed Care Specialist, and a certified National Institute of Correction Crisis and Hostage Negotiator.
In my spare time, I run a therapeutic horse farm, and enjoys the company of my children and grandchildren, good friends, my pets and my beloved KoKo.
I know that couple therapy is much different than individual therapy and the focus needs to me on how the couple can grow as a team and learn that difference can work as strengths. I assist couples in identifying their strengths and and how to grow as a loving supportive couple. Let's talk about where you are as a couple and where you would like to me, i think i can help.
